Too Hard to Ignore

Too Hard to Ignore

A Poem by PinkLemonade
"

Another song I wrote...

"

Broken glass

On the floor

I’m all alone

And I just can’t take it anymore

Slamming doors

Falling tears

Black and blue

The scars that you left here

Half-empty bed

To match an

Empty heart

Where do the lies stop?

Where does the truth start?

‘Cause I can’t do this anymore

Can’t pretend like nothing’s wrong

When it’s too hard to ignore

Maybe it was wishful thinking

But wasn’t something real?

Weren’t we on the brink of

Something right? Something true?

I thought that maybe

I’d finally done something right

That, yes, I wasn’t good enough

But you loved me despite

I was wrong

Oh boy.... The grieving of a broken heart... So many unanswered questions... What a beautiful poem. This and then the most recent one - Heartbreak. I love how you have made peace :) I love your imagery!
