The Darker Side Of Things

The Darker Side Of Things

A Poem by ThereWasBloodEverywhere

This time is light.
We don't dwell in black.
But on the other side of things,
Is where the darker light shines.
When white turns to black,
And sun turns to moon,
Day turns to night,
And ice turns to blaze,
A darker side exists,
In every single thing.
Yin yang,
Yang yin,
Everything comes in opposites.
One will replace the other,
When the chaos truly begins.
But chaos could only be given,
If you look into the darkness.
Look into the light,
For hope extinguishes chaos.
Gaze into the gilded cloak,
Of the brightness that exists.

Intriguing. I wasn't expecting this to be what it was. This was elegant, simple writing with a slamming finish.
These mysterious lines really pulled me into the piece:
This time is light.
We don't dwell in black.
But on the other side of things,
Is where the darker light shines
Well said. Here Here
