But.

But.

A Poem by Nathan Mann

I have a car.
It's mine, but I don't own it.
I own a guitar.
It's mine, but I don't have it.
I know a man.
He's in love, but he wont show it.
I met a woman.
She was short, but she owned it.
I was a child.
I was hurt, but didn't know it.
I love a girl.
She's amazing, but she denies it.
I live a life.
It's not the best, but it's what I make it.

I believe your writing has a simplistic elegance that many writers cannot achieve. No need for fancy words or deep metaphors. Straight and to the point while still holding a sort of emotion and brilliance. Thank you for sharing your work

Wow, thank you. That is, quite possibly, the best review I have ever gotten on anything.

I'm honored :)
Not bad. The repetition in this piece highlights you point nicely and works out well due to the brevity of this. Well done.
