The Easy Way

The Easy Way

A Poem by Pigfaced Cherub
"

There's a hard way, and an easy way.

"

I am not

smiling for spite.

I do not

lie to be loved.

I will not

tell you you’re right.

I always

push when I’m shoved.

Yes I will

carry my pain.

You’ll never

shoulder my load.

I need a

friend, not a flame.

Don’t kill your

dreams in my name.

It’s just a

split in the road.

Our goals are

just not the same.

That was great! Nothing forced at all and the message in brevity is made quite clearly.

I write words and words. Still I find no relief. Punctuation bonanzas never free me from my self deprecation. I am traveling from Hell to Zion on a twisting path of cliches and reruns. It's a long lon.. more..
