The Night He Stole My BookA Poem by Pierre BiscottiI know you. I've studied you. You are the mirror image Of the person I was always meant to be. But someone altered my destiny. That night he walked away He stole my book. I haven't read Ever since. I wish I could be you. I wish I can go back in time. And make amends with myself, But I can't do that now. I must live with who I am Because someone stole my book, And I haven't read ever since
If I could go back in time, I would warn my mother Of what this man would do. He will ruin me. He will ruin you. He will steal our family book I could save myself, And finally fulfill my destiny to become you. But I'm not you Because someone stole my book, And I haven't read ever since What is not meant to be will destroy destiny. He was not meant to be. He destroyed my destiny. You were never meant to be. Now I know my enemy. You stole my book, And now all I want to do is read.
