Short Story

Frustration penetrates the desire to be with you

   from yelling and fight to kissing the bruises

Heart beat racing towards the future looking down the feet wont move

   starting with goodbye ending with i'm sorry

Three steps back into the same arms that threw the body away

One kiss on the lips that cursed the bodies name

Sunshine is a fairytale and love is for princesses

  from pink and glitter to black and damaged

Music flowing into the ears the lyrics speak truth

  getting out quickly leave without a word

One foot out the door another step to freedom

Three scars that'll never leave remembering the abuse

Darkness shines upon the thought of no return

no more tears

no more pain

no more you.

A very deep and raw emotive poem...I hope that you find Love, where you can feel the sunshine and be a princess.

Love the opening line...it grabs well, then the rest refuses to let go.
When it does, it's almost like frustration penetrating...very effective.

This is bursting with emotions in every stanza. It flowed quite well and the ending was wondrous "Darkness shines upon the thought of no return

no more you." Truly an empowering ending
