Little Turtle

Little Turtle

A Poem by Morgan Bland
"

Staying inside one's shell can make one miss out on important opportunities or friendships.

"
Little turtle, sitting on the ground.
Walking towards, up comes a hound.
Little turtle, filled with fright
pulls inside her shell with all her might.
Big hound, wants to play
sniffs the shell, walks sadly away.
Little turtle, looks outside
no one more, with to collide.
Little turtle, lets out a sigh
Because of the friend she let pass by.
Little turtle, let her fear be in control
Opportunity, her diffidence stole.
