Grandpa

Grandpa

A Poem by piccolabeth

How could I forget you?
You're lodged into my mind.
The though of joy and laughter,
A love that was so kind.
A man so full of wisdom
Was with me through my life,
Cared for me in mischief
And held me in my strife.
Why would I forget you?
Your face is in my veins.
The though of your sweet serenade,
It helps me through these pains.
A man so full of vibrancy ,
He held me as a girl,
Loved me as a teenager
And as a woman left my world.
How could i forget you?
I missed you before you'd gone.
I can't believe that you're not here
To say this isn't wrong.
A man so full of frailties
Left me with an empty heart.
Does he know it hurts me
That were so far apart?

So tell me...
How could you forget me?
