Beacon

Beacon

A Poem by piccolabeth

Even the moon
Has trouble sleeping.
Blinking through the day sky -
A white mountain with its beacon.

This timeless dance
If invaded territory
Floats on by
Without you noticing.

Even the stars
Have issues blinking.
Shaded by the street light -
A dull shine with its cap on.

This shameless waltz
Of no-mans land
Shimmies on past
Without you even knowing.

Are you blind?
