He Will Shine

He Will Shine

A Poem by piccolabeth

These blinkered eyes
Lie awake and hungry,
Staring at the skies with a certain longing.

Knowing they can only see
The shadows of the clouds
They gaze ashamedly,
Awaiting the moons cold glare.
Yet he sixth so quietly,
Hidden by the pale,
Shifting through the stars,
Biding his own sweet time,

When these blind eyes close,
Searching in the darkness,
Then he will shine.
Then he will shine.
