The Beginning

The Beginning

A Poem by piccolabeth

Beyond the realms of time we began,
And began in tender ways.
With souls laid out bare to the stars and the winds
And with hearts so rare they were blue.
We trod through the ripples of purple,
Built waves with a river of red,
Parted tides with blossoming drumrolls
And strode through and beyond those beats.
A seafront of glory, of passion and love,
An udder-less boat with no captain -
The beginnings of a journey unwritten and unfathomed,
Beginning in tender ways.
