Thinking Shadows Real

Thinking Shadows Real

A Poem by Pi Cee

You live in fantasy little mind,
you haven't seen real hurt.
You've heard the stories, you've seen the scars,
but the pain never crossed your heart.

You live with friends made up.
You have a pillow to rest your head.
Those girls and boys lived through hell.
It's demons, blades, and all.

You think you can relate, understand, play ball.
You think you know.
Quit lying to yourself little mind
it's good to have a child stay pure.

You're always innocent until you aren't anymore...

Seeing the "hurts' affects deeply, so does living with or through them. But the affects are limited by the strength of the mind and its ability to deal. I always listen to people saying they would do such-and-such in a given situation... few ever do when faced with what they talked about. Walking your talk takes more effort and strength than most seem to have ...that's a pity.

Best we can do is to try - we won't always succeed but at least if you try there is more of a chance than if you do nothing.
