So, Tell Me Why

So, Tell Me Why

A Poem by Pi Cee

I knew better than to trust you.
I knew better than to want you.
So tell me why I did not know
better than to run to you.

I knew what kind of evil you were.
I knew how bad I'd hurt.
So tell me why I did not know
how bad the hurt would look.

I knew how sharp the blade did seem.
I knew my arm'd pour red.
So tell me why I did not know
the damned thing'd leave me dead.

You've expressed a lot of pain here. It almost hurts to read it. A successful poem.
