You Can, You Know

You Can, You Know

A Poem by Pi Cee

                           You can look back

bury your bloody hand in the knives your back has sprung

                                  Or,

you can pull them out with the hand you have scarred

forget the hurt, move on from the pain

                 and live a life again.

This is a beautiful piece. It strikes true to what life is; we either linger on things that hurt us, keep letting them hurt us, or finally say "Enough!" and pull out of it. Melancholic..... but hopeful, sweetly so, towards the end. That last line, as well as the second, are amazing. Magnificently done, my friend.
