I Know Not Who You Are

I Know Not Who You Are

A Poem by Pi Cee

But I think of what you're like.

I see what you write

and think of what might drive you.

So young, like me, but just so immature.

A girl who knows, but doesn't realize it's too much

and that my friend is what makes us young.

You, not quite alone in the world

but scared nonetheless. It's a frightening world

its a terrifying life we live, but my dear

do not cower.

You don't of course you think your as stong as the wind,

but you'll see when one day a sturdy stone splits you,

leads you in so many false directions, straying you away from your true path.

Not that you'd know. You're stil so young.

I hope one day, you prove me wrong.

Youth can be a hard time for many. The path is often rocky, with many unseen pitfalls that can take a toll on one's spirit and internal drive, or even their awareness. As we grow, we learn, as is the way of existence. Many must live and die by their own choices, while others live through only the advice of others. Yet, to live life to it's fullest course, one must find the balance between when the self thinks inside and the wisdom they gain from the outside.
I think your ink shares with us the view of one standing a step to the left, seeing one who may seem confident, but in truth, may be unsure about their footing and simply acting a false bravado.

Many things drift through the ink you have placed upon this page. :)
