You Can't Kill Me

You Can't Kill Me

A Poem by Pi Cee

Hit me,
bruises heal.
Cut me,
the bleeding stops.

My heart still works with all it's cracks.
My walls still stand with all their endless shakes.

I still breathe,
I still dream,
I'll always hurt,
But at least I'm alive.

This is a hard one to read. I've seen the hollow look in the eyes of the beaten. Some turn it around, others seemingly cannot. One of the first works I posted was about my experience with Domestic violence. It is titled 'Resolution'.
I like the subtle spirit of survival in this piece.
Very well written.

Pain is a sure sign we are alive.

The tough times we survive make us stronger so we may live onward into the hope of a brighter future. We never forget the tragedies, but we can replace the holes with more joy and less pain.
Yes... Being alive is a good thing. :)

Direct Ink with an Inspirational pulse to it.
