Pain's Fog

Pain's Fog

A Poem by Pi Cee

Lost in its mist
its tentacles capturing you
Not giving direction, depth, or a way out
It blinds you to surroundings
It encircles you like a cocoon
You lose your bearing amidst the confusion
But gently, softly. it pulls back
The light seeps through
And though the lingering fog follows your steps
Its wall has crumbled
And you can be aware of the world again
