Life by a Flash

Life by a Flash

A Poem by Pi Cee

The camera, a filter of our world to the next
each of us with our own
Starting with the placing it at the eye
a fresh shot, new, clean
Adjusting, being born into a scene
But the scene keeps changing, keeps having to be readjusted
switching in and out of focus
Growing maybe slightly there
shrinking and denying a little here
Ever so softly, blooming into a clear, crisp shot,
starting to fade, black mixing with white, graying out
Until with one last glance, a click, then a flash
Bold black, brightened white
sharp, clean edges
Bright and clear, though only for the moment before the flash also
Fades
With the fully opened worn scene
having lived- maybe short and brief, or long and thoughtful
but still within the life of, by, with, a single one of a kind flash
of specially tinted light for your own.

I see a photographer's hand at work here.. perhaps, a larger apeture setting, or maybe a tweek to the exposure, or ISOs.. either way you snapped the scene, and presented it clearly for use readers to see..
