If Only it Were a Dream

If Only it Were a Dream

A Poem by Pi Cee

That ring-
that ring, in the sunlight.

A sleepy gaze brushing across his hand,
remembering where it had been,
what it had done.
        And then
               a blindingly clear revelation
that shouldn't have been a surprise
jolting me up, away
from that little piece of metal
shining hard, burning
in the sunlight

I see so many different things in these words. I like it because it offers much to take in and muse as one reflects how each little piece of it might relate to their own life and journey. Yet, I think my mind takes the words into the sureal and the sci-fi, making it into a scene of someone who wakes up from some alien mind control and gets out of the way, just before another alien ship crashes on top of them. ;)

Thanks for sharing your ink! I always enjoy it!
