Family Watches

Mommy watches her little babies grow up
pained and searching for love she couldn't give
all too knowing, both too lost.

Bubby watches his old kid shows
yearning for the childhood
he barely got to live.

Grandma watches the future take hold
and her heart finally catch up to time.

Then me,
seeking everything in life
none of us ever had.

looking at life from different point of views we sit and remember our lives growing up, to having kids of our own and worry about all the things they do thus looking on it all in our golden age a looking on for the future. this is what I'm taking from this good write here I could be way off but its a opinion that I get from this as always keep writing fellow writer

When it comes to poetry it's all about the readers. Or at least mine anyway.
I wrote this for me and the promises I made to myself growing up. I wanted a happy family that really felt like they were a family. But whatever you took from it, I'm thankful, and will say you're right because they're your thoughts. =) Thank you for reading.

Being able to see the perspectives of others is so important. I love how this poem is so reflective yet still poignant, and evokes such feelings from the reader. Your last stanza, that has to do with your own "watching" is so true to my life and something that I do, and in fact I am in the same situation with my family. I am the go-getter, and seek to experience things that the others never did or were afraid to. This is a testament to your character, and a damn good one.
