When You Taste the Rain

When You Taste the Rain

A Poem by Pi Cee

Is it bitter,
full of regret of
that one old story
you'd rather forget?

Is it sweet,
dipped in candy chocolate of
the million wishes you
hope to make?

Is it tart,
not anything like you've ever
met deliciously with your tongue?

Does it make you cry,
the tears of remorse
you've been hiding
deep in the pockets of your jacket?

Pi Cee
To me, it's simple
tired,
full of hope and
future and
pomegranate seeds.

When I taste the rain
I separate out my tears...
for the dreams that never were,
for each long and empty year;
then goes the ones for silly hopes -
all just butterflies held inside,
then last - the wishes I grasped so tight
as my stars so slowly died.
