This Aching Heart Beats

This Aching Heart Beats

A Poem by Pi Cee

My dear,
see I love you.
See the strife my life has put us through.
Through the toughest times, all we need is love
is need, is comfort, and each other.

My dear,
see how I yearn for you.
How every night of mine
all I think I need is a touch from your gentle hand.
Through the darkest of nights
it's only thoughts of you that can possibly bring light.

My dear,
see how I need you.
How every waking second I stand in regret
that you're so far away...

The love and longing shines through in your verses. A nice melancholy poem.
