I No Longer Feel So Cold

I No Longer Feel So Cold

A Poem by Pi Cee

You stole my dreams, kind sir
you took the empty slots of my cast
and filled all of them up with you.

I'm not complaining,
by far!
Just giving you the matter of my factual heart,
I would never ask for them back.
All I made them was dark and shadowed.
And you're the sun who reduced my shadows.

They're still there, at large in the creases of the once perfect paper,
but you, you've let me see finally the light.

And while my eyes are squinted and watering
while I may not be seeing so clearly
I no longer live in the dark,
I no longer feel so cold.

It was the ACME quick drying light in a bottle, i'm sure! Just squeezed into them shadowy places and let stand 30 seconds and you've got instant glowshine everywhere! ;)

This was a wonderful positive and uplifting and heartfelt work of well crafted and deeply thought out ink! I'm happy to see that there is a positive outcome that comes through in your words. Congrats for a warm inkspearience! ;)

First of all I like the contradiction of "You stole my dreams, kind sir".
I think in the second stanza it would be cool if you said "matter of fact" instead of "the"
"You're the sun who reduced my shadows" Thats pretty cool. in a weird way it works with rhyming with "shadowed" which i wouldn't expect.
I get a cool image with seeing things through a piece of paper aimed at the light.

all in all this was well woven and had good depth. Definitely a direction to explore and play with.

~ magic... pure magic... you just remind me how much my purpose is to drive his darkness away... i have to keep trying... keep doing my best... and it's indeed a noble purpose... a divine one... one i wouldn't change for anything in the world... you, my precious, are a genius of the soul...

Love can keep us warm, even when it is gone the memories of having it can heat our heart enough in finding better days.
