Snowflakes

Snowflakes

A Poem by Pi Cee

Say goodbye to a new years kiss

Take a long sleep
relax your tense back
forget everything

Sink down in the ice
drown in the frozen water
give up your mind
become one of the weak

Sit in the river
until it's up to its full
lay with its weathered kindness

Dream of innocence and purity
freeze yourself in the crystal
laugh as the ground kills the laden ones,
carrying far too much of their past.

~ oh, boy... the "sink down in the ice" stanza is just so profound and perceptive... the "sit in the river" stanza overwhelms... and the final stanza is perfection in all its beauty and magnificence...

~ can you imagine that i lost my home to someone who simply couldn't let go of the past ? ... not only could i not do anything about it... soon i became a part of that past... cursed to the hilt... condemned as one who had almost criminally erred would be condemned... the whole thing just baffles me no end... yes, wounds are addictive... and... i understand... but how long can one hold on to them ? ... he even pretends that he's not holding on to them... damn...
