Lyrics-Kinda

A Poem by Pi Cee

Sometimes life takes me for granted
Sometimes life's just a little bit slanted

I don' t know what love we're in
I can't see what street we're on
I never knew what maybe meant
I could always see other possibilities

Do you know what time of day you stamped
on my wrist in our first kiss
Did you know how much hurt you were in
Could you make it easier than us back then

Sometimes life takes me for granted
Sometimes life's just a little bit slanted

Take my heart and shatter it on the floor
Don't look back when my voice cries out to you

Do you know what color you left the air
when you ran so fast the light couldn't keep up with you

Sometimes life takes things for granted
Sometimes the world comes out a little bit slanted

The world loses itself
when we find each other
when we found each other
when we lost each other

Do you know the words that my heart cried out to you
as you turned away
and let our running love trickle out in the street
before I could catch it all

Sometimes life takes me for granted
Sometimes life turns out a little slanted

I like the slantedness, very lyric like. I feel like lyrics have no time to dick around its got to urgent, or really alligorical, but urgent lyrics are great. You were able to say a lot in the amount of words you actually used.

I really liked
"Do you know what time of day you stamped
on my wrist in our first kiss.

I always like the conversation between you and life of how your mirror each other, you turn life into a "real thing".

Thank you.
Ok I loved this. With a little more it would be an awesome song! If you can ever add to it that would be great. Good job
