The Crossroad between Our Lives

The Crossroad between Our Lives

A Poem by Pi Cee

I'm sitting at this crossroad
dreading the light turning green.
Not ready yet for the
distinguished change of yellow and lover.

If I keep sitting here
committing the details of your
life's path to the tread on these tires
I know what I'll want-
to drive boldly down your streets
bringing my yard flags and cheesy fence signs.

We're both easy to fall and easy to break
We've both had the nightmares
that mock our distant perfect dreams.

I'll think on a merging future
while this red light changes to signal hope.

Thank you, very much.
The evolution of thought and the ignition of the light of hope. Brilliantly penned!
