Can I Still Say I Know You?

Can I Still Say I Know You?

A Poem by Pi Cee

Your eyes, I used to stare into them
for hours and hours
while you held me in your arms.

I know what your lips feel like pressed against my neck.

I know what time feels like,
spent with you in the dark.

You can sing,
my God can you sing.
You'd sing me to sleep...
                           back then.

It hasn't been very long.
A few months, maybe a year.

We held forbidden places,
beneath the covers of your bed.

How can we walk by each other and not even look
like we had some sort of history,
or did it all fade away?

How can your face, look so different,
and yet, so the same...?

. i connect deeply to this exquisite piece of writing, my friend ... the truth never changes ... facts remain facts ... the future may be different from the past ... but those moments were as magical as they were ... that won't change ...
