I Wish I Could Walk Away

I Wish I Could Walk Away

A Poem by Pi Cee

My mind has floated off as if a dandelion of feathers
My heart finding old scars, remembering these old burns

My thoughts have been manipulated, by yours, by you

I wish my heart could float away.

I used to dream of my used-to-bes
but anymore I find myself not able to sleep.

Could you be as tortured as I'm finding myself?
Could your thoughts take you too,
 the place with eternity's peace?

So many wants,
so many thoughts.

My steps haven't taken my soul anywhere.

Echoing regret, reoccurring in many forms. It can be hard to swallow, what you have on your plate, and equally as hard with what you don't have. Anxiety boredom, restrictions, squandered freedoms. Choices. Its in them that you will see who are, and how you deal with it all. Take care.
Really great write btw.

Like the wake of a ship, ripples of the now, becoming the past, may eventually ripple back into the new now. Yet, as the new now, is in new waters, and the captain is in charge of the dropping or raising of the anchor, and the fullness of the sails in the wind. It is the captain that decided if that ship will cut cross wave or turn and perhaps have the waves topple her.
