Sorry To Wake You

Sorry To Wake You

A Poem by Pi Cee

But you still keep the dream,
where faeries are real, and you live in a castle.
Where love sweeps away every broken thing.

Sorry to tell you,
but since I love you-
the world is a cruel one and castles fall down,
I'll try to keep you safe but I'm not always around.

Real life do take from fairy tales. I like the story in the short poem. A very good ending to a excellent poem.

While short and specifically to the point, this piece breeds a question. Is it always necessary to inform the dreamer that they are leaving a dream, rather than reality? Might it not be better to have that place of dreams to retreat to when life is on a downward spin?
