The consequence of the Apple

The consequence of the Apple

A Poem by Alexander Mccarthey

The foggy haze of smoke has cleared
No bong No wrong
Just empty beers
We've lost it all
Gained nothing back
We've just got each other and the Rack

Thanks meg. I'll admit I'm not as much of a poet as I am a short story writer. I think what I was really trying to do was add the dissociative tone that the 'apple' adds to individuals lives.

Simple yet carries meaning. It seems like you're saying what you have to say and you lack the emotion that you have behind it all. maybe that was your intention all along, I can't be sure.

The Apples indeed, a planet that starts within the most perverse signal there is, us!

Interesting. I love the first line; and the title... which caught my attention.

Another great poem. I like how easy it slips into life.
