Troubled SoulA Poem by Phoenix PoetryFor a father.
Past these walls that have been built
There is heartache and pain, Behind every tear that doesn't fall There are several that do, Behind every false lead of happiness There is a silent scream for help, Behind the eyes of a joker There are tears of a clown, A Troubled Soul is what lies behind every lie That I tell to the ones that ask if I'm alright There's pain behind every forced smile and every Forced laugh that I give people so that I Don't have questions asked that I Really don't have the answers to, I give people what they want to see so that They don't see the Troubled Soul underneath The Troubled Soul that's loaded with feelings of: Hate, Remorse, Indifference, Happiness, Misery And Regret, For the father who will never be able to Know the Troubled Soul that his child has Been carrying around since his death, The Troubled Soul who will never Get the chance to tell the father how I Feel because he's not here to hear it. © 2016 Phoenix Poetry |
