Fallen Angel

Fallen Angel

A Poem by Phoenix Poetry
"

The once might protector has fallen.

"
Once complete and now empty,
Once able to fly and now grounded,
Once able to see the light and now
Only able to see the darkness
That never seems to end,
These are the feelings of the Fallen Angel

The once mighty warrior who can't tell the difference
Between friend or foe anymore,
The once great defender of the people
Who can't even defend against the
Most common of enemies anymore,
The one who prides themselves on being the calm
Before the storm can't even tell the difference
Between a sunny day or a storm anymore,
Just as the fate of the Fallen Angel

The one who once had the biggest
Faith is just a shell of the formal self,
The once great fire that was as bright as the sun
Is now just a pile of ashes with a single flame
That's either too stupid or too stubborn to know
When to say enough and die out,
The once great empire that stood undefeated is
Now just a pile of stone that shows how easily
Defeated the once great empire was
Just as the life of the Fallen Angel
