Chapter 5

"
"Umm... ok so let me get this straight. We go to that friend of yours and he will lead us to my parents?"

"No, actually we need to find my friend first then he will lead us to the death records office, then we will go find your parents." She clarified her plan to us. So you guys need to catch up with this, so the amazing Hannah came up with this amazing idea and now we will be heading on our way to find this friend of hers, so he could lead us to the death records office, even though I'm not really sure why we are going there but oh well.

"Hannah, if you mind me asking, why exactly are we going to that death record thing?" Alex asked confusing, and I can't blame him because I'm confused myself.

"Alex, really? I thought you are smart enough to know this." Hannah said throwing her hands in the air in frustration.

"Hehe, I was wondering the same thing too..." I said giggling. She shot me a death glare and said, "Not you too!"

"Ugh... since you two decided to act brainless, so I have no other option but to explain it. Again." She said annoyed and we nodded our heads.

"Ok, so. We. Will. Go. To. Find. Mike. Then. He. Will. Lead. Us. To. The. Death. Records. Office. So. That. We. Find. Out. The. Place. Of. Your. Parents." She spoke really slowly while motioning with her hands as if we are 3 years old.

"Ohh." I said.

"Ok, so when are we going?" Alex asked.

"Now." Hannah declared.

"NO... I'm tired!" I said. I know dead people don't sleep but that doesn't mean they can't rest for a while.

"What??" Hannah asked.

"Hannah, I know we don't sleep or either get tired but that doesn't mean that I can't rest for a while." I said.

"Ok, then you can lay down for sometime."

"Thanks." I said smiling.

"I'm going to rest too." Alex said.

"Since when do you rest?" Hannah questioned.

"Since my girlfriend is." Alex said grinning and Hannah smirked.

"Hannah, you can stay too." I said hoping she would agree.

"No, thank you." She said giggling.

"But why?!" I whined like a little kid. She giggled and Alex frowned.

"Because I need to make sure of some things first."

"Later!" She said floating away.

I laid on the ground, resting my head on a rock, then Alex came and laid next to me and gently removed the rock and replaced it with his arm, and I snuggled to him more. He kept staring at me for a long while and he seemed distant.

"What's wrong?" I said touching his face with my hand.

"It's nothing." He said kissing my hand.

"Come on, you can tell me..." I said trying to persuade him.

"Well, I was just wondering why we never met in real life... wouldn't it have been better if we dated while we are alive?" He said.

"Well yes, I wondered the same thing a couple of days ago. But is it really in our hands?" I said looking at his magnet like eyes.

"No, you are right, it isn't but now it is." He said kissing me forcefully as if the kiss will get us back to life and I eagerly kissed back. He turned me so I'll be laying on my back and continued kissing me but with less force while playing with a few strands of my hair and I allowed my hand roam in his silky honey hair.

"Ugh!! Why whenever I come, I find you two kissing?" Hannah said. By now Alex was sitting and he helped me sit up too.

"Why do you always interrupt us?" Alex said clearly annoyed, and me and Hannah giggled.

"Come on you two, we need to get going before the sun sets." Hannah said indicating it's time for our trip to start.

"Yeah ok, sure." I said while standing up, and Hannah began floating.

"Wait! Just one more kiss." Alex said grabbing my wrist to get me to stop.

"No, we are going to be late." I said trying to contain my giggles.

"It's just one, I promise." He said looking as adorable as ever.

"Alright then." I said smirking and Alex grinned. I leaned in and Alex was still grinning but he closed his eyes waiting for my kiss. I smirked, and got closer and when my lips were about to touch his, I turned my head and kissed him on his cheek instead and walked away. I always wanted to do this, and man it feels good. I turned my head to look at Alex and he was shaking his head while smirking and I gave him an innocent smile. He ran floating to follow my pace and now we are side by side and Hannah is 20 feet away.

"A little naughty today, are we?" He whispered in my ear. Then he quickly stood in front of me blocking my way, held my head and leaned in kissing me a kiss to die for... damn. I'm already dead, but you get the point. After a couple of minutes, he pulled away even though I never wanted his lips to leave mine, then he smiled his amazing angelic smile, God, I love his smile.

"Now, that's how you should kiss." He whispered again and I grinned.

We continued walking/floating, close to each other and he intertwined my fingers with his.

"Alex...?"

"Yeah, babe?"

"What's happening next?" I asked him, honestly I was very worried and weirdly nervous and I don't really know what to expect. Alex came to a halt and I stopped too and turned to face him. He held my shoulder and said, "I don't know what's going to happen next, but I'm assuring you that I won't let you go through this by yourself, I will always be there." He said, looking determined and serious. I smiled and hugged him tightly. He took it by surprise but he was soon hugging me back and his arms tightened around me as if he was scared to let me go, and so was I. We stood there embracing each other for God knows how long until of course Hannah interrupted us.

"You two are unbelievable." She said sighing but a smile playing on her lips. Alex smirked and placed his hand around my shoulder.

"You are not going to hug her, because first it will start by a normal hug, then by a kiss, then..." She said with a cute rage. Hannah was too cute to be angry, she was like this innocent baby but she sure was bossy.

"Yes mom." Alex said smirking and I giggled. Hannah float back to where me and Alex were standing and squeezed herself between us and hooked her hands with us.

"Anna, why exactly are you doing this?" Alex asked.

"To stop you from kissing her." She said casually.

"If you let go, we won't kiss."

"Nope, you can't be trusted, I trust her, but I don't trust you." She said, I giggled and she tagged along.

"Pffftt... fine!" He said annoyed.

We walked hands hooked with each other, laughing and joking around, taking the first step with our journey, and step closer for me to solve all the question marks I had throughout my life.
We walked... float, and float, and more floating... the only good thing is I didn't really feel, because honestly if I had I would have stopped 10 hours ago. We have been walking for a long time, a really long time and I didn't know where we're but Hannah is like our GPS. If she said we take a right, we took a right without questioning.

"Hannnaaaah!! Can we please stop, we have been walking for... I don't know but I'm sure it's a lot!" I said tiredly, when I really wasn't.

"And that's the point. You are dead. You don't feel, so it doesn't matter how much we walk, and just to let you know we have been walking for 9 days." What? 9 freaking days?! Naa... that's impossible. And as if Alex saw the imaginary question mark on my face, he said "Yeah babe, we have been walking for 9 days..." He can't be joking too, can he?

It officially suck to be dead.

"Uhhg, ok so where are we? And how much distance is left?" I asked.
"We are at the last year of the first stage, just a little more I promise."

AFTER 7 DAYS, 9 HOURS AND 47 MINUTES.

"HANNAH!! I'm not moving! Not even a step! 7 days ago you said that we are almost there! Does your almost there means 7 walking days or what?!" I said with rage.

"You look hot when you are angry." Alex said smirking.

"Don't even try distracting me!" I said shooting him one of my famous death glares, but it didn't seem to work on him, since he chuckled.

"As I was saying I am NOT going to move, naa, not going to happen, we have been walking for 16 damn days! 16 days for crying out loud! I don't care if I'm dead, but this is just too much! Like so unacceptable!!" Next thing I felt was Hannah shaking my shoulders wildly.

"What?!" I hissed.

"WE. ARE. HERE!" Hannah said yelling and smirking at the same time and Alex was getting choked by his own laughter.

"Nothing's funny." I said shooting him a death glare.

I started walking, leaving the other 2 idiots behind me, correction: I was walking until I got hit by a wall, or that's what I thought. I looked up and came eye to eye with a very cute wall, well that's if you can call a human with black wings a wall, but his cuteness didn't really matter, because I am pissed, and when I am pissed nothing matters!

"Excuse you!" I said with annoyance. The guy smirked which added fuel to my fire.

"Well, hello to you too. What's a hot lady like you doing her alone?" He said with the same annoying smirk on his face.

"And what's a self-centered, egoistic, black-winged jerk doing here, alone?" I shot back, and his smirk grew bigger.

I wasn't aware of Alex's arm snaking around my waist in a protection gesture. I never knew Alex is that protective boyfriend, not that I minded, it was actually kind of cute.

"Mike, they are with me." Hannah said. Just in time to break the tension, but it didn't really work... at least she has tried.

"Can you both stop with the glaring competition so we could get down to business!?" Hannah exclaimed.

"Sure." Mike said enthusiastically, way more than required, and Alex on the other hand had his hand around me.

"Babe, it's alright." I whispered in his ear, and his features softened only a bit though.

"We need your help." Hannah said determined. Then she began explaining my story. After a while of explaining and arguing and giving Mike time to process all the information he just heard, he finally spoke.

"So Aliana wants to meet her parents, and you don't know where they are?"

"Yup." I said popping the 'p'.

"Alright then, let's go!" He said.

"Come on! No more walking." I whined like a child.

"Who said anything about walking." Alex said and of course smirking. You know, now I really think his smirk is natural, I mean what kind of person is constantly smirking!

"We won't ?" Me, Alex and Hannah questioned at the same time.

"Nope." Mike replied.

"Then what are we going to do?" I asked.

"You are going to take a ride on me." Mike said with the same annoying smirk, and Alex growled at him and by a growl, I mean a real growl which I must admit scared me.

"What? Can't you take a joke?" Mike said asking Alex.

"Don't. Test. Me." Alex said through clenched teeth.

"Alright pretty boy, now would you all like to ride on my wings so we could fly off, or do you prefer to walk?" Mike said.

"I'll ride." I said, receiving a glare from Alex.

"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Mike said excited.

"I'll ride too." Hannah said.

"Come on babe, pwease?" I said giving him my puppy eye and pouting my lips. He was obviously trying to avoid any eye contact with me, but I smartly held his head and forced him to look at me. His features softened and he agreed groaning.

"Thank you." I whispered in his ear while kissing his cheek.

Mike spread his amazing wings and it looked like a plate on top of his back. They were big.

"Hop on," said Mike. We all hopped, and I did too but not after receiving some help from MY boyfriend. Mike took off in the dark sky, and after a while of silence I asked.

"Just a question, what are you?" I asked Mike yelling so he could hear.
"I'm a death warrior baby." He yelled back. Well, that explains the black wings.

My head leaned on Alex's shoulder. "Ughh... Alex I miss sleeping." I whined and he chuckled.

And with that we fled to God knows where, I'm guessing we are flying to the death records office or whatever plus that 'warrior' is going to take us.
"Mmm..." I moaned as I felt someone shaking me.

Why does everyone shake me now? Did it become a tradition?

Ughh... why aren't they stopping?!

STOP!

I eventually gave in to the annoying, non-stop shaking and opened my eyes, and there stood 3 heads with their eyes wide, and their mouths even wider. I suppose you already have guessed who the 3 heads belong to? Yup, to the 3 idiots.

"What is it? You guys look as if you have seen a ghost!" I said while sitting myself down, and their mouths are still wide open. And when I say wide open, I mean WIDE open, is that their tonsils?!

"HELLO! From earth to the 3 idiots, do you copy?" And then guess what happened?

Nothing.

"Guys, I would really appreciate it if you talked and tell me what happened!" I said angrily.

"You... you... you... you...!" Hannah mumbled with her eyes still wide.

"Ha? I get that when you talk to someone one you actually say YOU referring to them." I said sarcastically.

"No! You... you... slept!!" Mike shouted with disbelieve.

"Umm... what's wrong with me sleeping?" I said.

"Wait! What? How could I possibly have slept? That's impossible! Guys, is this some sort of a prank?" I said with plain shock and disbelieve.

"No, we aren't pranking you." Hannah said.

"So, how could I have slept?" I wondered out loud.

"We don't know!" Mike yelled. He looked like he's going to lose his brain any second... poor him.

"It's not the first abnormal thing that happened with her..." Alex spoke for the first time since the whole 'you were asleep scenario'.

"So she slept before?" Mike asked.

"Um, no this is her first time sleeping," Alex replied back.

"So what other 'abnormal' thing that happened with her?" Mike asked.

"She cried more than once..." Alex said, getting his normal cool composure back.

"Cried?! Damn..." Mike said.

Are they aware of the fact that I am still standing here?

"Ehm." I faked a cough.

"You cough too?" Mike said with wide eyes.

"What? No, I was fake coughing to get your attention and to let you be aware of my presence." I said.

"And she also doesn't remember how she died." Alex added. So am I invisible now?

"Will you just stop stating facts about me and get moving so we could reach the damn office?" I yelled.

"Yes ma'am," they mumbled at the same time. I smirked, pleased with the reaction I got.

"Thank you!" I said with the same power in my voice.
"Here we are b*****s." Mike yelled, receiving a glare from Alex and a giggle from Hannah. Then he started walking away, where is he going?

"Hey Miko! Where are you going?" I yelled after him.

He turned back to the place he was standing at, and when he was in a decent talking distance he said, "Sorry love, but I have got other things to do." I sighed.

You might think that I'm completely out of my sanity for putting on 'oh, I'm going to miss you' act, but I really will. After I overlooked his flirtatious nature, he turned out to be a good guy and no, I'm not being sarcastic in here. Not this time at least.

"Oh... thanks for everything Mike, it really means a lot." I said with pure gratitude.

"No sweat," he said smirking his usual smirk.

"I'm going to miss you..." I said.

"I'm going to miss you too love." He said and then embraced me in a huge hug. Which was the best hug I ever got but just don't tell Alex. I hugged him back and we stayed in each other's embrace for a while, until Alex faked a cough.

"So you cough now, ha?" I asked teasingly.

"Yes, you are very infectious." He said with a smirk.

I stuck my tongue at him and when I turned around to look for Mike, he was gone. I was just able to see his silhouette in this smokey, dark place.

"Will I see you again?" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"You just have to wish for it babe." He shouted back, and I can imagine the playful smirk playing on his lips.

"Then see you soon!" I yelled after him.

I could hear his faint chuckle, from away. I smiled and turned to see an angry Alex with his hands clenched in fists and Hannah who by the looks of it is trying VERY hard not laugh.

"Why were you flirting with that d********g?" Alex said between clenched teeth, but I wasn't intimidated one bit.

Why? No idea.

"First of, I wasn't flirting. I was just saying 'goodbye' to my friend who happens to be the guy who helped me a lot and he's the main reason I'm here. Second, he might be flirty but he isn't a d********g." I said in a surprisingly calm tone.

"And you are defending him as well? Wow... what else have you done to each other?"

Ok, now what?! Is he freaking kidding me!

I decided not to answer that. It's not like I'm out of words, shy, scared or anything. In fact I have got my smart-a*s reply ready, but yelling back won't do me any good. And I also don't want to talk to a person who's doubting me and who also happens to be my BOYFRIEND, and I'm certainly not in the mood for a fight.

Gosh, I thought all of this drama happens when people are alive.

Guess I was wrong.
Ughh... I have been putting up with that jerk for a long time. Seeing him flirt with MY girlfriend, is certainly not ok. And what pisses me off even more was, she was flirting back, wasn't she?

I mean, when they first met they couldn't stand each other. And now, they are hugging, laughing and...

No, I shouldn't think about that. Aliana would never do that to me, right?

But of course, there comes the nosy and annoying voice in my head and says 'how would you know that she would never do such thing to you...? After all, you have only known each other for a little while'.

No... she won't do that... she - and then I get interrupted by the voice in my head 'what if she's just like Brittney?'

Brittney, oh Brittney... she was my first love, we met in high school. She was a new transferred student and we started dating immediately, but then, one day I was going to pick her up with me and drive her home, but she was nowhere in sight. I searched everywhere, asked her friends, I even had the guts to check in the girl's restroom, and of course I called her phone numerous times, but she never picked up. I was getting worried, so I decided to check in the labs since I forgot to. I entered the chemistry lab and there was just a janitor cleaning up the mess left after some experiment, I apologized and headed towards the Physics lab. The lights were switched off, and there was no sign of any human life in there. I decided to head to the Biology lab, and if I didn't find her there then I'll just get back home and call her later to explain. But what I saw the moment I entered there wasn't what I was expecting. I couldn't even utter award. My eyes were wide, almost out of their sockets and my jaw dropping. Nothing could have prepared me for what I had to see right in front of my own eyes. I tried blinking, maybe I was just imagining stuff, but no, it wasn't my imagination, it was for real, and it was happening.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you are wondering what I saw then let me tell you, that seeing your girlfriend for 3 years cheating on you with your older brother, isn't a nice experience.

When the cheaters finally noticed my presence they started talking and Brittney was in tears, but I couldn't make out a word, as if I became deaf or as if this was just a dream and I'm waiting for my alarm clock to wake me up, but sadly it was real. I couldn't stand being in the same room as them. I just ran as far as I could, into the parking lot, then in my car. I didn't bother putting the seat belt on, it wasn't worth it. Nothing was worth it anymore. I sped up on the highway, my fists clenched around the stirring wheel, tears clouding my eyes. And next thing I know, the car was turning upside down in the air and landed down the hill, crushing me and the car with it.
I sat on the ground, head in my hands in frustration. I felt someone patting my back, hoping it was Aliana but I was again wrong. I lifted my head up and came face-to-face with the always smiley Hannah.

"It's alright Lexi.. They are just friends and you know that," Hannah said in attempt to sooth me which by the way she failed miserably in.
"Lexi?!" I questioned.
"Your new nickname, isn’t it just so cute?" She said and I just rolled my eyes.

"Where’s Aliana?" I asked.
"She walked off after you guys argued," Hannah said.
"And you let her go by herself?!"
"Yes.." Hannah said guiltily and my eyes widened.

"Do you know that she’s new to this and you still left her wonder off alone!" I yelled causing the ginger head to flinch.
"I’m sorry..." Hannah said.
"Anna, I'm sorry... I didn’t mean to yell at you, I’m just worried," I said realizing my mistake. Wow, two huge mistakes in one day, I must have broken the record.

"It's alright. Now, let's just go look for her," I smiled at her and hugged her tight, which is something I haven’t done in a while, and I miss it.
"Um.. hii.." Aliana said awkwardly.
"ALII!" I ran towards her, picked her up and twirled her in the air. Her reaction? Confused.

Oh, yes we had an argument just before she left.

I awkwardly placed her down and said, "Can we talk?" She nodded her head in agreement and followed me.
After the argument, I decided to take a walk to calm my nerves and it did help.

Mike already showed me the way to the death records office, so I walked-float to it and when I reached, there was an elderly lady sitting in the office. Ok, so ‘elderly’ is an understatement. She was very old, probably exceeded 100 years.

"Hello?" I greeted/asked.

She looked at me and her eyes widened, but she quickly restored her normal composure back. Weird.

"Hello there," she said in an inviting tone, I smiled.
"Um… my parents died a couple of years ago and I would like to meet them if that’s possible?" I asked.
"Of course you can dear! Just tell me your family’s name and in which year they passed."
"It's Adam. Mr. and Mrs. Adam, year 2009." I told her, fighting the tears which are threatening to fall down. I can’t cry in front of her. Crying isn’t normal.
"Alright dear, I’ll look in the files and get you their positions. You can come back in a while," she said smiling.

"Thank you," I smiled back.

I reached in 5 minutes, jogging to the place I left Alex and Hannah. And guess what I saw?

Hannah and Alex hugging.. awww.

They are just so cute together. Wait what?

They are just friends and I AM his girlfriend. Why do I keep forgetting that?

Shouldn’t I be jealous?

I didn’t realize that they pulled apart until Alex came and twirled me in the air. Awkward..

Alex finally realized that we are currently in a not-so-good talking terms, and he placed me back down. Thank the lord.

"Can we talk?" Alex asked breaking my train of thoughts.

I mumbled a sure and I followed him to wherever he’s taking me.

He sat on the ground and I sat next to him not intruding in his mine or his personal space.

He began telling me everything, from Britteny and his death, to him getting jealous and his feelings for me that’s fading away...

"Ali, I'm so sorry, but I just realized that I don’t like-like you. I’m really sorry. You probably hate me now-" I cut him off by covering his mouth with my hand.

He took time, but eventually he stopped and I smirked.

"Okay, so I don’t hate you, and honestly I also just figured out that I don’t like-like you. Maybe in a brother kind of way?"
"I knew it! I’m so sorry Ali. I just... Wait. What?!" He asked with astonishment and I giggled at his lost and surprised face.
"So you are not pissed and you don’t hate me?" He asked.
"Nope," I said with a grin.
"Thank god," he said wiping his imaginary sweat off of his forehead. And I giggled.
"So it's our Anna isn’t it?" I asked and he looked away embarrassingly. Being dead serves him right now because if he was alive he would be the color of a cherry.

"Alex and Hannah sitting in a tree: K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage." I sang loudly while running around and giggling, and Alex trying to catch up with my me, to shut me up.

"That can't practically happen, since we are both DEAD!" He yelled some more and I giggled.

"Ok, ok. I’m sorry, I’m serious now. In fact I’m the most serious woman in the history of the dead." I said in a posh tone, and ended up laughing again.

"What’s happening?" Hannah popped asking. When did she get here?

"Alex in here-" I was cut by Alex’s big hand covering my mouth and my voice being muffled in the process. I smirked, well I didn’t technically, but I smirked in my head, that counts as a smirk right?

Anyway, I head smirked and bit Alex’s hand, but he never yelped in pain. Ughh... Screw the death world.

"Lexi, let Aliana go," Hannah said sternly and he obliged. Once he removed his hand off of my mouth I broke down into a hysterical laughter.

"Who’s Lexi?" I asked between my giggles.

"My new nickname to Alex," Hannah said proudly.

I scotted towards Alex and pinched his cheek, "Ohhh.. isn’t your new nickname so cute?" I asked giggled and he shooed my hand. Very rude of him.

"Me and Alex broke up," I said with a huge grin.
"What?! Why?" Hannah said with widened eyes, but I caught a slight of hope in her eye. I giggled, and they all looked at me strangely and I just shrugged.
"We found out that we have the sisterly-brotherly love, not the other romantic kind of love," I said.
"Alex if you don’t go tell her now, I will," I said in a serious tone.

Okay, so I'm a weird person! If you don’t know that already. I can giggle, then start crying, or joke around and be the most serious person you will ever meet. It's my thing and I’m proud of my mood-swingy personality!

"Tell me what?" Hannah asked.

"He-" I started but Alex cut me off by running to Hannah’s side, whispering something in her ear, they both smiled and got closer... And I turned my head not really interested in seeing their snog season.

"You guys done? Because we need to go to the death records office to find the positions," I yelled, without turning around.

"Sure," they both said.

I ran to the death records office and was welcomed by the 100-year-old sweet lady. I smiled at her and she returned it.

"So, I have found the locations of Mr. and Mrs. Adam and also I found in the family file the location of nick Adam, he’s in the same location as them though, but passed a little year ago," she said.

WHAT?!
"Isn't Nick your brother?" Alex asked me.

"No... I mean yes... but how? When?" "That can't be possible." I said with plain confusion.

"Excuse me ma'am, I'm sure you got that wrong, can you please check again?" Hannah said being serious for once in her life.

"Sweetie, our files are never wrong. That only happens in the real world, not here." The 100-year-old lady stated.

"Then can you give me their location?" I finally asked.

The lady pressed a button of the huge keyboard in front of her and a black hole showed up in the middle of the air, just a few feet away from us... freaky.

We three (me, Lexi and Hannah) stood there, mouths agape.

"What are you waiting for?! GO, GO!" The lady yelled at us, causing me to flinch.

"Go where?" I asked, after regaining my composure.

"In the locator!" She yelled again. What's up with her and the yelling?

"What locator?" I asked bluntly.

And then she did the unexpected by smacking her forehead. Literally smacking it.

"Okay, okaayy..." The lady said while inhaling, as if she needed the air, I snorted in my head, if that's even possible.

"This 'hole' is called the locator sweetie. And she's going to take you to your family's location." She explained slowly.

"Ahh... Now that is why it's called the locator." Hannah said, realization finally hitting her and hitting me as well.

"Yes. Now go inside it." She said looking tired.

How on earth did she expect us to know all this information by ourselves? Weird woman.

Nonetheless, we walked to it, until we were just 2 feet away from the hole.

"Ladies first." Alex motioned with his hand for me to go in.

"No, you are the man out of us, so you should man up and go in first." I said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"But you're the one who wants to meet her family, so you should go in first!" He said, raising his voice slightly.

"But-" I began saying, but Hannah cut me off.

"You two, stop being so childish and someone get in!" She said yelling, and we both looked at her expectantly motioned our head to the entrance of the black hole.

"Na-a! I'm not going in first." She said taking a step back.

"Ughh! Fine, I will go first cowards!" I scowled at them, while walking towards the hole, and getting in it.

It was a dark blue from inside and it looked like it was made out of jelly? But thankfully it wasn't sticky. That would have been just plain disgusting.

After the two idiots got in, chairs popped out from the sides.

"Please sit down," a lady's voice commanded.

We looked at each other, but obeyed nonetheless. A seat belt-like-thing, came from behind the chair, and tied itself on us.

"This isn't a spaceship, is it?" Alex asked. Dear readers, please excuse his idiocy.

"No, this is the locator. It was invented to help the souls in the dead world to visit and meet each other," it or she said, in that robotic voice.

A few minutes passed in silence, much to my relieve and the locator came to a halt.

"We have reached your specified location, please step off the locator, and have a nice day." She or it again said and the wrapper, untangled itself from us. We got up, and the seats disappeared again.

"So what now?" Alex said, once we got off the locator.

"Um... I got the number of their grave and its section, all we need to do is find it." I said.

"Again with the walking..." Alex said while sighing loudly.

"And you were saying that I'm the drama queen?" I said smirking at him, and he pouted causing both me and Hannah to giggle.

"Okay, so what section and grave are they?" Hannah asked after we recovered from our giggling season.

"They are in section S, grave 3869." I replied, looking at the paper the lady has written down with their location information in it.

And they both broke down into a fit of laughter. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, until it clicked. Dirty jerks.

"It's not funny!" I said.

"I-I-it is!" Hannah said between her laughing. I snorted again, but couldn't help but let out a chuckle after looking at their faces and bodies sprawled on the ground.

After 3 minutes, their laughter died down. I sighed in relief, "done?" I asked and they both nodded their heads while getting up.

"Good. Now let's go find their location." I said, and they looked at each other and began laughing hysterically.

Here we go again.

Ugh... Finally we found you 'section C', now all we have to do is find the grave." I stated dramatically.

"Right. What's the number of the grave again?" Alex asked. I shot him a dirty glance and he snickered.

"It's 3869." I said while walking the vertical lined graves, passing through souls I wouldn't have liked seeing. I kept reminding myself that I have reached this far and I can't under any circumstances get back. Not without answers. And I certainly won't return just because those souls look unreasonably scary.

I felt a hand sneaking up and holding my waist; I yelped in surprise and turned around to be met with Alex and Hannah with sheepish grins on their faces. I growled and they batted their eyelashes at me. Alex batting his eyelashes? Well, that's new. It was quite an amusing scene.

"This place is creeping the creeps out of me." Hannah whispered in my ear. I nodded in response. Not a minute had passed before Alex whispered in my other ear, "This place is scary. I want to go home..." he whined, causing me to let out a chuckle. He frowned at the response I gave. I smirked and shrugged.

Why am I getting them into my problems? That question have been rounding up in my head, no matter how hard I try to push it back and ignore the thought, it comes back. What if there's some danger lurking around? Dying isn't an option for us, since we are already dead, but some trouble might face us. Right?

And since I'm 'Abnormal' like they say, won't there be some abnormal trouble following me?

I'm trying to think as positive as I can about this whole thing, but there's this voice in my head telling me things aren't going to be as easy as they were. I can't get Alex and Hannah in trouble. I just can't.

I stopped walking, and stood still in my place. The couple kept walking, but soon realized I wasn't following them anymore. They came to a halt and walked the short distance back to me.

"Ali, what's wrong?" Alex asked. I sighed.

"Guys listen; I really appreciate what you have gone through with me all this time, and for always sticking around. But, I can't get you into this. I don't know... But I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen. I don't want to put you in danger, God only knows how much I love and care about you two. So, you two will get back and I'll continue with my way. Get the answers I want, then come back." I said with a sigh.

They both looked at me as if I grew three heads and laughed. Yes, they really laughed. I tilted my head to the side, frowning. Did I just say something funny or are they on crack?

The second option sounded much more rational to me. But I don't think dead people can get high. I'll have to ask about that...

I chuckled at my own thoughts and their faces. It wasn't really in my control. Hannah's laugh is contagious. Really contagious. When she laughs it's practically impossible for the others not to laugh along. I just had to wait until they both sober up.

"Aliana, we aren't leaving you! And there's no way in hell that you'll get rid of us. No matter how annoying we can get, you have no choice but to let us come. Actually no, we don't need your permission to come, we are coming babe whether you like it or not." Hannah said after sobering up and Alex just nodded his head like an idiot.

I smiled at how lucky I am to have such amazing friends, and couldn't stop the tear that escaped from my eye.

"GROUP HUG!!" Hannah yelled and embraced us all in a huge hug. We hugged, and more tears found its way down my face, but that was all. After 2 minutes, we were still hugging.

"Guys, no offense but we got to go..." I said and they both chuckled, letting me go.

We walked for few minutes in silence. Not the awkward and uncomfortable one. It was a peaceful, relaxing silence.

"Ali, what's going to happen next? I mean when you find your parents." Alex asked.

"Honestly, I don't know. Just the thought of them being dead feels weird. And what feels even weirder that I'm going to meet them!" I said.

"Yeah. You're right." Alex said.

"Guys, lets sit down for a bit, please?" Hannah pleaded.

"You're dead so you don't need rest" I said with a slight smirk. She pouted, and knowing her bubbly, cheery personality I couldn't stand being the person who upsets her. I let out a sigh and said, "Fine, we'll lie down for a while". Hannah smiled like she won the lottery and jumped on my back, causing me to fall face first. I groaned in pain and Hannah slowly got up from on top of me.

She dusted herself off, and Alex gave me a hand. "Ouch. That hurts. I didn't know you are that heavy Anna." I said with a slight smirk.

Hannah frowned and pouted like a 5-year-old. "You're dead, so you don't actually feel." Hannah said.

"Well, if you haven't noticed my dear Hannah, dead people don't cry or sleep either and they do remember their deaths, while I don't." I stated.

"She's right. Aliana isn't the typical dead person." Alex said laughing.

"Pfft. Fine. So can we sit now?" Anna asked and I just nodded.

Anna rested her head on Alex's chest, cuddling. I smiled at them and leaned on the tree trunk behind me falling into a dreamless sleep.

My son sat on the dirty floor updating me and John with what happened when we weren't there. I missed her graduation. I missed my baby's graduation. I really hope she'll forgive me. I should have told her the truth about us. I shouldn't have kept it a secret. I tried really hard to change her fate, but sadly fate can't be changed. The Elite's jury wouldn't let us. We knew she was different the minute she was born, even more different than us. She was unique in every way. I and her father knew she was the chosen one and we couldn't let The Elites know about it.

News spread faster in our world. In an hour of time, the whole kingdom would have known. And not long after The Vulturis would have known and she would have been in real danger. They got to her anyway, they got my daughter and they killed her. They killed my baby girl, but she shall have her vengeance. They killed her because of me and her father, because of our rank. And they killed our son for the same pathetic reason. What they didn't know is that she's the chosen one. And the chosen one will get her vengeance soon enough, and she'll set the world free of The Vulturis. They have done a lot of harm along the years and they shall be stopped. Stopped by my baby girl. Stopped by Aliana.
