Myst and Midnight A Horse Poem

Myst and Midnight A Horse Poem

A Poem by Phoenix
"

Just came to me

"
He was pure black
she of cream
the to lovers
would meet in the meadows below
the spring evening was gentle and sweet
He a tall Arabian and she a Thoroughbred
she a haunting figure of a mare
the brook was calm that eve
that is where she stood, with her head low
the tall dark Midnight came to her proud
he whinny and he nickered
but at first she would not come
he would have to prove his worth to her
he pick a rose from the bushes of green
he held it in his teeth
he slowly walked to her where she lay
the sun shone on her coat.
her nose met his and that is where the two
met for the first time eyes locked
and from then on it was like magic or something more.

I actually like both the concept and the imagery provoked in this one. There are a few grammar mistakes, but they do not take away from the overall romantic feel of the piece.

Lovely write!
