Two hours later Christian and I left the park. We were going to
Christian's house now, he lived out by my house which I found a bit
strange, since how I've never seen him before. We pulled onto a dirt
road it was surrounded by trees. It was beautiful here, the sun was
shining brightly through the trees making everything glow. We pulled up
to a large wooden gate with a pentagon on it. Christian used a small
remote to open the gate. We drove for another 5 minutes and passed some
large fields filled with horses.
I felt the sharp pain again and I was once again in a different world, a world of the past. I was on a horse, she was white and beautiful. Her mane was long and beautiful flowing in the wind, her eyes glowed green with magic as did mine. We stopped at a creek, as I got off Shadow came out of the woods. She was about 3 ft away from me when her eyes turned bright green then so did her body. When the light subsided she was no longer my pet wolf, she was human! I gasped and I was back in with Christian sitting outside a beautiful log house. Christian was watching me with worry.
"Scarlette? Are you okay? What did you see?"
"I.. I was on a horse, a white horse I think she was mine and Shadow was there sh.. she's not a wolf! She turned into a person!"
"Yes, the horse is yours her name is Jem she's here in the back field. I'll take you to see her later and Shadow I'm assuming is Shannelle she's your best friend. She's a shifter or what you call them now a werewolf, she stayed with you to keep an eye on you."
"Werewolves are really too? This is turning out like a god damn twilight movie!"
"Not even close," he started laughing. His laugh was sweet and gentle. We got out of the car and went inside the log house. Everything inside was made out of wood too. We went into the living room and Carson was sitting on the couch.
"Scar? Please talk to me, I miss you and I need to explain some things to you." Carson's eyes were begging me to say yes.
"I don't know..." Before I could finish what I was saying Christian cut me off."
"Scarlette he's right you need to talk."
"Alright, come on Carson." I was a little mad that Christian was so willing to let me go with Carson instead of staying there with him. Carson turned and stopped me and grabbed my hands.
"Scar, Christian got his chance to show you one side of yourself the sweet delicate fragile side, but there's also the strong, brave and dangerous side. The side I love, you never let anyone scare you or push you around. I've still seen it in you even after you forgot... I've had glimpse of it in your eyes more than once."
I had butterflies in my stomach. I loved Carson I'd always love him. He's the only person I truly trust with my life.
