Fire

Fire

A Poem by SilentPhoenix

I have a fire inside of me that forces me to wake up in the morning, when all I want to do is lie in sorrow

I have a fire inside of me that keeps me calm in my life, and not worry about tomorrow

I have a fire inside of me that keeps a smile on my face, when all I feel is disgrace, and I want to crawl into my secret place

I have a fire inside of me that keeps me strong, teach me right from wrong, lets me know it won't be long, gives me a new, uplifting song

I have a fire inside of me that keeps me sane in my brain, it detains my pain; Lord please tell the sunshine to hold the rain this Hell is so hot this restraint is hard to maintain; You know how hard I strained to define this gift I maintained

Watch this fire that God instilled in me direct my path to victory
