I wanna feel numb so I won't have to feel the inner pain which is far more greater than the pain I feel on the outside

I don't dream, I just hear rain and my brain is shut down and my heart pounds but just barely

Wearily aware of the tears on my skin, oh how thin my skin has been, and then...

Oh so numb, I can't feel a thing, my heart can't sing

...I'm sorry heart, I'm just too numb

That was interesting. I have a problem with being jaded myself. To feel numb has it perks and flaws. You don't feel pain but you don't feel happiness either. You become mechanical and less human.
To bear emotion is what makes us human, right?
To feel pain, to feel love, to feel grief, and joy?

Nice. A pretty relateable piece, because being numb would make the inner pain go away, and when we're hurting, that's all we really want. For the pain to go away. I like how you incorporated your physical response, like your heart pounding and your tears, to pain of your mental sense. Good job.
