Honey Limbs

Honey Limbs

A Poem by Phoen-ix

Soak the honey bees in Kerosene and
Leave the wasps between the teeth
Cut and line the gum with pothos
And swallow

Faux fireflies dance
And struggle with wings of gold

Nectar of fire
Seeping and coating toes like wax
Preserving and
Creating light by burning
One
Out

This is a beautifully written poem. Your lexicon and imagery are very captivating. It has multi-layers, almost challenging the reader.

This is a chilling write. There is a veneer of beauty - but murderous depth to the piece. Creating light by burning one out. A stunning write indeed

"Creating light by burning one out"
The way you placed your words are phenomenal, they curve at every ending always giving more to the reader, gripping them. Great job

Such great poetry and an absolute pleasure to read :)

Damn powerful, emotional imagery. It reads fast, and while it is very purple it is not at all romantic haha. Diggin it.
