Eyes of Onyx; Mouth of Maggots.

Eyes of Onyx; Mouth of Maggots.

A Poem by Phoen-ix

Leeches and foxglove wrapped around the ribs of a faun
An acidic cell of gluttonous moths
with fertile eggs
And fragile wings
 Plastered to a
 Tainted tongue
Parasites
 Like loneliness
Leave you with a mouthful of
Maggots

I haven't been able to write for awhile but last night the words started to pour out while I was half asleep. Tell me what you think? Thanks. :)

Those last four lines hit deep...a host of unsavoury images and plights is capped by the most unsavoury plight of all, loneliness...sometimes it doesn't just fill your mouth with maggots...if your mouth is stuffed it goes on to fill your mind with them...this one really spoke to me...well done Pheon-ix :)
