One with the air

One with the air

A Poem by Aphy!
"

Inspiration came from a very sad movie

"
No one knew what she had
But they knew she had it bad
The rare illness made them mad
But because they couldn't heal her made them sad

Her life long dream was to reach the finish line
After achieving her goal everything would be fine

She set up the perfect table for them to all dine
"How I long to call her mine"

But there just wasn't enough time

She was getting weaker and frail
But she knew it was too early to fail

Her goal was always to fly
Up
Up
Up
High

Fly without a single care
Misuzu was now one with the air

Aphy, A very emotion-grabbing and poignant write. A loved one with a terminal illness leads to a clock counting down the time left, the one who is ill striving to reach goals that may not be enough time for; when death is reached the goal to fly is attained, the wind carrying the goals freely and proud. A very nicely done work! take care...dan

Oooh, that's on my anime list. This reminded me of Yuuki from Sword Art Online II, it also made me think of Ayase from Guilty Crown.
I like the story, it's lovely as the sky.
Well done!

Very bittersweet. A dream so deeply held that it seems like even the constraints of your illness can't possibly stop you; that, like in the movies, everything will work out. But the illness, and life itself, carries on, and in the end, you don't live long enough to realise your dream in life, but in death you're flying finally. I haven't seen the movie so this probably isn't the plot, but strictly as a poem, that's how it feels to me. Beautifully done.
