that was never true

Making me blue

Without a single clue

Maybe it's me

who couldn't see,

the kinda person you could be

Instead you blamed me

Maybe it's the world

that has our emotions curled

Fussing over petty things

Even making me see things

Or maybe it was us

The emotions we could never discuss

Always making a fuss

Or maybe it's just you...

I absolutely love this. I can definitely relate to this poem. Questioning yourself about all the ways that you could have hurt the relationship...but in the end it could be as simple as the other person's toxicity. Excellent job.

This sounds as if it's about a relationship having trouble, with one of the affected parties trying to justify upon whom the fault should be placed. Unfortunately, when most relationships end one can wonder forever just what went wrong, what could have (and should have) been done differently. Your poem gives voice to that dilemma very nicely. take care...dan

This is a very sad and yet very true poem. SO many relationships go through this and bring one another down at times and tell each other or make each other feel like it is their fault etc...I loved this

this is a very short but very true poem. it is hard when things like this happen but it takes real people to make this tragic event into such a beautiful poem. with that being said i adore this poem. its short sweet and sad and makes the point very clear. this is a emotional piece in few words but its the things left unsaid that make it work
