Part 2- Finding The Magic

Here it is...part 2! Chloe's now still trying to find happiness for her and her family and along the lines faces trials that question and try to deteriorate that happiness.

“Hi, I’m Chloe. I was in an abusive relationship with my ex husband Marshall Mathers for 5 years. During that relationship I suffered a lot of physical and emotional wounds. I went through court cases, therapy, grief and heartache over those 5 years. I recently got out of that twisted web and finally got the help I needed. Here’s what happened after I conquered my fears, faced the monster and finally got the happy ending I deserved.”

So after Chloe’s husband Marshall got arrested, she went through a lot. The night he got arrested, Chloe drove back to her parents’ house feeling free. In the car were her kids Sade (15), Beyonce (10) and Nichole (6). While driving, Chloe felt a sense of relief and freedom. As though someone had taken away the load she’d been carrying for almost 5 years. She felt good and Sade could see it too when she held her hand and said “I’m proud of you mom”. Chloe smiled, held her daughters hand too and said “Thanks sweetie but it’s you I should be proud of. You did what I was afraid of doing and I appreciate that. I love you for that sweetie”. Sade smiled but then dozed off afterwards. An hour later the car pulled over and Chloe looked over at her kids, she couldn’t help but smile. A tear slowly ran down her cheek and she was genuinely happy. Something she hadn’t felt in a long time. She certainly didn’t feel like this with Marshall!

The following morning was very productive and busy. Chloe was the first one up and she was in the living room buried under a lot of paperwork, forms and envelopes. Sade got downstairs, saw her and confusedly asked Chloe what she was doing. “Well Sade my angel, I’m going through all the paper work and the divorce papers. It turns out we have A LOT of money!” Chloe said excitedly but Sade still didn’t get it so Chloe decided to tell her confused daughter everything. “See here (Pointing at a bunch of words on paper) well, it says here that we have access to all your dads things.”

“I was on the phone all morning with the lawyers putting them up for sale. The estates, the office spaces…everything! The money has been rolling in since 6 in the morning.” Sade followed, nodding and listening intensively at Chloe. All the paper work basically gave Chloe full custody over everything. Every single thing Marshall owned. “So what are you going to do with it?” Sade asked excitedly. “Well, I was thinking of building a hospital for abused woman and children. What happened to the both of us really inspired me to help other people going through the very situation we managed to overcome. It was a real eye opener” Chloe said then she held Sade’s hand when she saw how upset she suddenly got. Marshall had forced himself onto her while they lived together and he did things to her no father would do to their own daughter. “I’m glad you’re doing something good and that you’re moving on” Sade said still feeling a little upset. Chloe quickly gave her a big hug and said “No honey, I haven’t moved on. I’m slowly trying to get over what happened. It’s not easy to move on and no one’s forcing you to be happy again babe. I’m just trying to look for a brighter side of things, all I’m asking is for you to be there with me. Just, try to focus on happy things instead of thinking about that terrible time okay” as she said that, Chloe started to cry and laugh at the same time. They both whipped away their tears then Chloe said “Today is gonna be a very busy day for us. We have to look at houses, get our passports sorted out then I have a surprise for everyone that I think you’ll love” Sade got excited and gave her mom a big hug.

That morning after breakfast Chloe and the kids went shopping, did their hair, watched a movie and looked at houses big enough for them and for Chloe’s parents as well. Slowly as the night crept in, they got back home. Chloe put the girls to bed and sat down in the living room with her parents to talk. “Honey, I’m so proud of you. You’re very strong and I’m glad you’re finally happy” said Lynette (Chloe’s mom). Her dad George was also proud of her. “Thanks but it’s really Sade you should be praising. Not me. She did something I failed to do. I can’t help but feel like a bad mother” Chloe said then she started to cry.

 

Lynette held her daughter in her arms and said “You are not and will ever be a bad mother Chloe. I’ve never seen someone as loving and caring as you are towards those kids. Sade did that because she loves you. You raised a good kid right there.” Lynette said whipping away tears from Chloe’s face. She told her parents about everything she’d discussed with Sade that morning and her parents were very excited and more than willing to help out.

Chloe and her parents spent the whole evening planning for the future. They were very proud of her for being a great parent and managing to raise her kids through those difficult times that Marshall put them all through.

“The next 3 months were very fun and a little stressful. My kids and I with the help of my mom and also a building team, managed to make mine and Sade’s dream into reality. My dad passed away 2 days after we had finished. He died of a stroke so I decided to dedicate the hospital to my dad. We made a small plaque in front of the door with my dad’s picture on it to remember him by. He was such a good man and a great father. Heaven’s gonna have a hard time controlling him but I’m sure his presence will be a blessing there.”

2 weeks after the Brave Hospital was built, Lynette suggested everyone take a holiday trip to New Zealand to celebrate getting through a very stressful year. “Mom where’s that surprise you promised us?” Beyonce asked Chloe while they were sitting on a hotel balcony sipping smoothies. Chloe smiled and said “We’ll go look for it this afternoon honey but for now, let me relax” then she put her shades on and enjoyed the sun. Lynette and Sade were out that day getting some food and a few more things for them to celebrate the New Year which was in a few days. Beyonce ran off when she heard the door bell ring then she shouted that her mom come to the door. Chloe greeted the man at the door, signed the package then closed the door as he left. She sat on the sofa but she soon got upset when she saw who the package was addressed to…CHLOE MATHERS! She felt weak in the knees and felt the tears build up in her eyes. Flash backs of Marshall rushed and played through in her head.

Chloe was upset and angry again and then she felt a cold hand hold her. She turned around and saw Marshall!! He kissed her forehead then he said “You’ve forgotten that I own you and these kids you call yours” Chloe shouted “No!!” everything collapsed with the sound of her scream. She opened and closed her eyes and saw she was dreaming. She woke up on the balcony with Beyonce sleeping by her side, clearly she didn’t hear anything because she was still sleeping like a baby. Lynette rushed from the next room and saw Chloe sweating and hyperventilating, in distress. She ran to her, held her and said “Don’t worry honey, it was only a bad dream. Shh” Chloe was still crying and she couldn’t breathe. Sade got her iced water, she tried giving it to her mom but her hand knocked it over. That caused more drama because now Nichole and Beyonce were crying and screaming as well. Everything was just a commotion and very loud. Chloe fainted from all the stress. The whole room then went completely silent.

That evening Chloe woke up in the hospital and she didn’t remember getting there. She was blank and had no memory of what had happened an hour ago. Lynette walked in with a doctor and she had a worried and concerned look on her face. Chloe looked up and asked “Mom what’s going on?” the doctor stated he was Dr Martin and that he was monitoring Chloe’s brain waves and behaviour. “I realised that you’re very stressed out and you haven’t been eating all the correct foods. Mrs Marshall you suffered a very minor panic attack. That along with the fact that you were laying under the sun also contributed to the shaking and sweating” Said Dr Martin, who surprisingly looked very attractive but Chloe snapped out of that and said “I’m Ms Marias now, currently divorced” Dr Martin apologized but Chloe told him not to worry. Lynette sensed she wasn’t needed so she left. None of them really noticed that she’d gone out the room:

 

Dr Martin- I saw your beautiful kids in the lobby and I wasn’t surprised they were yours

Chloe- I’ll take that as a compliment. So are you married or in a relationship Dr Martin?

Dr Martin- Nope, just got out of a very deep marriage so I guess I can relate to your pain and stress

Chloe- I’m sorry hey. How long were you married?

Dr Martin- 5 years, just like you were hey?

Chloe- Yeah

Dr Martin- Well, I have plans tonight for dinner but I think it would be better if I had company

Chloe- (smiles) are you sure I’m in a good state to go out doctor?

Dr Martin- I’ll make sure nothing happens to you…very beautiful patient of mine

Chloe- Well then I’ll try and pencil you in after my sun tan

Dr Martin- Bad joke for a person who fainted about an hour ago

Chloe- Was it really just an hour? Wow, personal best

They both laughed. Dr Martin brushed Chloe’s cheek and said “Call me Benjamin, Ben” then he kissed Chloe’s palm. She blushed then said “Pick me up at 8 then” Ben couldn’t help but giggle when he showed Chloe his watch, it was 9:30 pm. She also couldn’t help but laugh at herself. Then Ben said “I’ll drive you home then and I’ll see you tomorrow for breakfast” Chloe smiled and said okay. Ben drove her back to the hotel and said “I’ll see you tomorrow then” and kissed Chloe’s cheek.

Inside Chloe saw that her mom had already put the girls to bed and she was sitting on the sofa knitting. Chloe joined Lynette on the sofa and told her why she was hyperventilating and stressed out earlier. “I think you should do something about it baby. If you carry on like this then you’ll end up harming the kids or even yourself” Lynette said very worried. Chloe went to her kids’ room and saw how peaceful they were sleeping. She kissed all of them goodnight then she saw Sade moving which meant she wasn’t really asleep. She turned around and said “Mom, I’m worried about you” Chloe smiled at her daughter and said “Don’t be honey, I’m fine” she then kissed her on the forehead goodnight again. Sade was out like a light.

The next morning it was raining outside and Chloe had just woken up in Sade’s bed. She then saw that the girls were out of bed so she also got up.

 

In the balcony she saw a beautiful breakfast laid out and there was a note that said “breakfast at 8, check your watch” Chloe couldn’t help but smile because she knew the note was from Ben. The knock on the door startled Chloe and woke her up from her fantasy. Terrified as hell she asked who it was but there was no answer. She grabbed a spoon and slowly went towards the door. She turned the knob and started hitting franticly with her eyes closed. A man’s voice yelling at her to stop made her realise it was Ben. Chloe felt very embarrassed. Ben laughed and said “Wow a spoon? An intruder breaks into your house and you decide to use a SPOON!” Chloe laughed and let him in. He told her that Lynette had let him in earlier to make and prepare breakfast. “Wow, all that for me?” Chloe was impressed and she felt very special. “I gave your girls tickets to see Disney On Ice so they won’t be home till noon” Ben said excitedly. Chloe had a big smile on her face. They had breakfast outside on the balcony and spent the whole morning chatting. Chloe learnt a lot of interesting things about Ben like how he got divorced because her wife Denis was cheating. They spoke about that more until Chloe realised that Denis was the girl Marshall was cheating with and she was also Ben’s ex wife! “Whoa, that’s so weird. I guess it might be fate” he said. They spoke about the future and how the universe was putting them together because of their experiences in the past.

After breakfast Ben helped wash the dishes and Chloe was looking admirably at him getting his hands wet. “I still think you really didn’t have to wash the dishes” she said still making googly eyes at Ben who responded and joked “Well, at least I have your full attention. You and those hearts in your eyes” Chloe splashed water at him then the war began! Ben splashed it on her face then found a cloth and messed her hair up. That made Chloe very mad (in a playful way) so she ran to her bedroom and closed the door but Ben opened it and they fell on her bed. Breathlessly Ben said “You’re fast…. But not fast enough” then he hit Chloe with a pillow but she fought back and hit him too. They were both having the time of their lives. Playing and rolling around on the floor. Ben looked at Chloe and admired his work when he said “Wow, I should add making people dirty onto my list of special skills”

Chloe laughed and said “Wow so you’re impressed with yourself and you’re bragging about hitting a girl. And look at my hair, it’ll take a lot of-” Ben interrupted and said “But you look cute…sexy. I like it”. Chloe couldn’t help but smile. She felt very happy when he said that. “I like this” Ben said crawling closer to sit on the floor next to Chloe. “What? Seeing me like this?” she said. Ben smiled at her and said “No, seeing you happy. Your mom told me what happened. I’m really sorry, I know what it’s like to lose someone you love.” Chloe got upset again then she got sad. Ben moved over and gave her a big cuddle and assured her that everything would be alright. In his arms she felt very safe. She slowly got up to kiss him on the lips but Ben stopped her and said “You’re not ready for this Chloe. Trust me I really wanna do that but emotionally…I’m not stable. We both aren’t ready.” he fixed Chloe’s hair then held her in his arms again. She fell into a deep sleep, like something told her not to worry anymore and to just breathe.

Later that evening the phone ringing woke Chloe up, she woke up to answer it and couldn’t help but smile like a teenage girl:

 

Ben- Thank goodness, I thought you were dead!

Chloe- Ha Ha, very funny. But I’m glad you were concerned

Ben-Well you’re my patient and I wanted to make sure you were fine

Chloe- After the day I had with you, I’m beyond being just “fine”

Ben- well, I try. I’m just glad you’re beyond “fine”. I actually called because of something else

Chloe- what? To tell me that you miss me?

Ben- (giggle) That too, I wanted to make sure you remembered your appointment

Chloe- yeah I did dad!

Ben- (laughs) no need for sarcasm honey, I was just saying

Chloe- Yeah I know and I remembered. I actually need a favour

Ben- Can’t resist me already. It’s only been 2 hours away Chloe calm down

Chloe- (laughing) such an egomaniac Dr Martin but that’s not what I need…not yet

Ben- Then tell the doctor what’s the matter

Chloe- I need you to help me pick out the perfect house pet

Ben- No need, my dog had puppies this morning. you could come here tomorrow

Chloe- Wow, what else do you have in your bag of tricks?

Ben- well, I was thinking maybe we could watch a movie and go for a walk on the beach

Chloe- I like the sound of that. I’ll tell the girls, they’re gonna be so thrilled

Ben- They’re not the only ones excited about the visit

Chloe- Can’t blame a girl for being excited. I’ll see you tomorrow

Ben- Goodnight beautiful lady

Ben and Chloe had just recently met yesterday and they were already moving a bit too fast…well too slow. Chloe was falling in love with the idea of falling in love with Ben. How he was so patient and understood the fact that she wasn’t ready to be in a relationship. Chloe’s fantasy was shattered by her mom and the girls walking through the door laughing and talking. Chloe smiled and said “Well it looks like you guys had fun” Lynette tossed herself on the sofa and said “Yeah we did, I was even asked to skate with Minnie!” “Grandma lost to a stuffed animal!” Beyonce laughed out loud. Everyone sat in the living room and Chloe said “Well since you guys are in good spirits, I spoke to Dr Martin today and he told me his dog had puppies so…WE’RE GETTING PUPPIES!!” the kids went crazy and were overjoyed by the news. “We’re getting a puppy!” said Nichole doing a dance with Beyonce. Lynette was also very excited.

The girls went to bed early that evening because they thought if they slept early then the hours would go faster. Lynette also went to bed early, Chloe though did something else. She got a call from Ben and they drove around town in the middle of the night. They drove all the way up to the edge of a hill and things got very romantic. Ben got Chloe a blanket and they had wine. “Wow, this city looks so beautiful at night” said Chloe snuggling under the blanket under Ben’s arms. Ben looked straight into her eyes and said “Well, it’s got competition right in front of me” then he brushed Chloe’s cheek.

 

Chloe and Ben spent the night at the back of his car with nothing but the stars in the sky as their light. “I’m glad I met you” Ben whispered as he held Chloe in his arms while she was asleep.

“Good morning beautiful” Ben said as Chloe arose from what seemed to be an eternal slumber. She smiled and asked “Morning, hey what time is it?” Ben checked his watch and it was 6 in the morning. The sun was already up. Chloe was in a panic, she had promised the girls that she’d take them out for breakfast before going over to Ben’s house that day. “Calm down, I’ll take you home. Just let me get my keys” Ben seemed chilled about the situation while Chloe on the other hand was freaking out, that just made Ben laugh even more. On their drive home they listened to music and were laughing about the fact that it felt like they were teenagers sneaking out of the house “But I’m gonna get busted” Chloe said. Ben smiled and said “I’ll speak up for you babe it’s fine”. That word…BABE! Did it mean they were official or was it just play flirting? Chloe’s head was filled with confusion again. Ben dropped her off and said “I’ll see you later then” she promised to swing by and went upstairs. Luckily no one was up so Chloe had time to shower and change before anyone woke up…her mom included.

At a Café everyone had pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream drizzled in syrup. Chloe was feeling a bit uneasy and on edge and Lynette could sense it. “Sweetie what’s wrong?” she asked. Chloe was still a bit stressed out and she was a little sleepy but she just told her mom that she was fine but was she really? “Mom can we go get some ice-cream afterwards?” Nichole asked as they drove over to Ben’s house.

“Hey guys, please come in” Ben greeted the gang at the door. Sade was very excited to see the puppies. Ben walked everyone to his backyard and he said “This is Snowflake and her babies” he opened the door to the shed and the girls saw a black dog with a lot of puppies under it “They’re so pretty” said Sade. She held one in her hand. She decided to call it Muffin because it resembled a chocolate muffin.

Beyonce and Nichole had identical puppies that were girls so they called them Sugar and Spice. In the back of all that madness were Ben and Chloe holding hands. “Thanks” she said then rested her head on Ben’s shoulders. “So, are we taking 3?” Lynette asked the girls. They agreed on 3. At the end of the afternoon they thanked Ben. “We’ll make it up to you, you can visit them any time you want” Sade said then she gave Ben a big thank you hug. Everyone made their way to the door with big smiles but Chloe still had her hand in Ben’s. Sade was happy her mom was finally happy. She gave her a wink then left her alone with Ben. “They seemed really happy, thanks Benny” said Chloe. “Oh wow. I’m Benny now? I guess I should get you a pet name too” Ben said. Chloe smiled, kissed him on the cheek then she left but Ben had other ideas. He slowly caressed her wrists and whispered softly “Stay over” but Chloe was worried about a lot of things so sleeping over at Ben’s house might clarify her suspicions. She texted her mom to tell her that she was staying over for the night.

Staying with Ben was like a dream. Chloe had the time of her life, they watched movies, played Nintendo and had chocolate and wine. “I love being with you Chloe” Ben said looking into Chloe’s big blue eyes then she said “Me too but I can’t shake the feeling that you don’t like me”:

 

Ben- I do, I love being with you. I don’t know if we should be moving this fast within 2 days

Chloe- I know but I feel weird when I’m around you

Ben- I feel weird around you too. I love you that much that I don’t want to hurt you

Chloe- This is not getting us any-

Ben kissed Chloe, it felt like fireworks jumping around in and out of their lips. Chloe didn’t know whether to back away or to keep going. Ben and Chloe rolled around the carpet. It felt as though the world had stopped just for the both of them. When Chloe got out for air, she smiled and said “Whoa that was amazing!” Ben smiled back and said “Well I tried, I’m really glad we can feel weird together” they spent the whole night in the living room on the floor.

 

The fire burnt bright, apart from each other’s body heat, it kept them warm throughout this very special and beautiful night.

The following morning Chloe woke up with a throbbing headache (All that wine got to her) but she felt pretty good about seeing Bens face. He was still fast asleep next to her and she couldn’t help but smile. “Wow!” he said breathlessly in between a yawn as he woke up. Ben then smiled back at Chloe. “Do you want to grab some breakfast or something?” Ben asked while putting his arm around Chloe and letting her lay on his lap. Chloe wanted coffee because she wanted to go shopping for a New Year’s party she was having with the family. “You have to be there. I need to see you before I leave” Then it was quiet, Ben couldn’t believe Chloe was thinking of leaving “When were you planning on telling me? Why would you even leave Chloe, I thought you liked it here” “I do, it’s just that I need to take care of a few things. I was only on holiday here and I didn’t really think I’d ever find love. I didn’t think I’d find the best thing that ever happened to me…which is you” Chloe tried to convince Ben but he was still a little angry. “When were you going to tell me this?” he finally asked but he was still sulking. “I forgot because I was having the time of my life with the best dude in the world” Chloe sucked up but it was worth it because she was building a strong bond with Ben and she couldn’t throw that away or trade it in for anything or anyone in the world.

After that very weird discussion, Chloe took a shower and made coffee. “What can I do to make you stay over?” Ben begged when Chloe was about to leave. “Nothing, I really need to go now. I will see you tonight at 8” she kissed Ben goodbye then he said “Love you too. See you later” Chloe looked him in the eyes. He said it first, she was over the moon. “I love you too. More than you can imagine” she finally said. She passionately kissed him again and they parted ways. The whole ride there Chloe was smiling because Ben told her he loved her. It was probably the best feeling in the world after giving birth to her kids. True and pure happiness!

“Morning everyone” Chloe said as she walked in back home and saw the girls feeding the puppies. They weren’t big enough to eat solids yet so Lynette had Chloe buy baby bottles for the new babies of the family. Sade greeted Chloe then told her that Lynette was shopping. “Hey guys come here for a sec. I need to tell you guys something” Chloe said and asked her kids to join her at the dinner table.

 

Chloe- Okay, so I wanted to ask you guys something. Do you like it here?

Kids- YEAH!

Chloe- I wanted to know how you’d feel if we were to move here permanently?

Sade- I really like it here mom, have you seen how big the mall is here?

Beyonce- Me too, and you’re much happier here than back home

Nichole- Yeah and we love it here

Chloe- Fine then, I guess we’re staying here! We better look for houses and new schools

Sade- Why don’t we live with Dr Martin!!

Kids- YEAH!!

Chloe- I’m sure he wants his house all to himself Sade. We’ll start looking for houses tomorrow

Chloe and the girls spent the whole day inside and waited for Lynette to come so they could start preparing for their party. “I’m proud of you mom. I can see that Dr Martin makes you happy” said Sade, Chloe smiled and said “He is and I’m proud of you too honey. I couldn’t have asked for a braver and beautiful daughter like you” Chloe then gave Sade a big hug and kissed her forehead. When Lynette finally came home, the preparations could commence. Sade and Nikki helped make the food and Chloe and Beyonce were decorating and cleaning.

Hours after Ben arrived Beyonce and Nikki were fast asleep and Lynette had also passed out on the sofa so it was Chloe, Ben and Sade still up at 11. An hour before the New Year. Sade was laughing with Ben and they had a lot of things in common.

 

 “You are such an independent young lady Sade” said Ben who was a little tipsy from all the wine he’d been downing. “Thanks Ben, you know what… I’m going to go listen to some music on my iPod. Call me when it’s 12 o’clock” said Sade trying not to become a third wheel so she left. It was just Ben and Chloe now, they were still recovering from the idea of Chloe leaving but she decided to tell him that she wasn’t leaving anymore. Ben was very excited and happy that Chloe wasn’t leaving anymore.

“So I’m planning on finding a new house around the area. Plus the girls need to find schools here” Chloe said with a big smile on her face. Ben looked deep in her eyes and said something so unexpectedly and surprising “Move in with me” he said. Chloe was shocked but she was a little tipsy so everything that came out of her mouth didn’t make sense. “I have a lot of baggage Benny, I can’t handle my own kids. How are you gonna cope with them?” she asked. Then she got up and sat on Ben’s lap and started brushing his hair gently. “I think we should take it a little slow honey. It’s only been 3 days” she said then gave him a kiss. “I love you though” Ben said. Chloe rested her head on his chest, sighed then said “I love you too, you keep me sane and I’m glad I met you”.

It was now 5 minutes before the New Year and Chloe had woken everybody up. “I want to see the fireworks” Nichole and Beyonce said excitedly at the same time. Lynette was now sitting on the balcony with Ben, Sade and Chloe. “It is now (Looks at watch) 3 minutes. We should get our fireworks ready” Ben said. He and Chloe got up hand-in-hand and went to the basement downstairs. While they were there Ben grabbed Chloe and said “I got you something” he then got on one knee and Chloe started to cry. “I really think if I’m making the biggest mistake of my life right now then I know for a fact I won’t regret it. If loving you is a big mistake then I’ll make it over and over again just to be with you. Chloe, will you marry me?” Ben opened the box in there was a beautiful diamond ring. Chloe (Still in tears) looked at him and said “Benny this is so sweet. I really love you too!”

The moment was soon interrupted by Sade. She walked in and said “The countdown is about to start. We need you guys!” then she left. Chloe quickly grabbed the fireworks and ran out. Leaving Ben alone to gather his thoughts as to what had just happened.

Upstairs Chloe sat alone on the sofa while Lynette and the kids were outside in the parking area waiting excitedly. As the countdown started, Chloe felt sad and alone. Sad because she let the most amazing guy slip away. When the countdown reached 5 Chloe felt arms around her waist coming from behind. She turned around and saw Ben. He gave her a huge hug and whispered in her ear that he loved her. She kissed him on the cheek and said “I love you too. I want you to be with me forever. I need you!” They were now face to face then she said “Yes!” There were fireworks (Literally) when Chloe and Ben kissed. He put the ring on her finger and they continued kissing. In the background colours were exploding, red, yellow and orange. “I love you” said Chloe. Sade was at the door admiring her mom’s happiness. Lynette also walked in with Beyonce and Nichole then they all screamed and shouted in excitement. “What a way to start off the new year” Ben said when he finally got out for air. And indeed it was a way to start off the new year.

The following morning was full of surprises. Chloe finally changed her surname to Martin and Sade got an exciting call from a school in Egypt telling her that she had gotten a scholarship to go learn there. “I can’t believe my baby girl is moving away!” Chloe said one afternoon while Sade, Ben and Chloe were having a picnic. “Well done Sade, you know I actually got you something” Ben said. He dug in his pocket and got out  framed picture of her and Ben. “Wow this is pretty, thanks. Wait..should I start calling you dad now?” Sade asked with a very confused look on her face. Ben and Chloe looked at each other then everyone laughed. Ben then kissed Sade on the forehead and said “Sure, I’d love to play your dad. To you and your sisters” Chloe smiled and said “I’m glad everyone’s happy. I love you guys”. Just then Beyonce and Nichole came running towards them, Ben gave both of them big hugs then Nichole said “Mommy, Dr Martin makes you smile.

And I like him”. That was shocking coming from a 6 year old but Chloe was glad that her family loved Ben as much as she loved him. “A toast to our new family” said Lynette. They all raised their ice-cream cones and made a toast. Crazy what the new year does to people and Chloe’s family was a living example of that!

“So I’m proud to say I’m now Mrs Martin. Sade left 2 days after then she came back a week later for the wedding (Crazy right) my mom was very supportive about the whole thing. Ben and I knew that we were moving fast but nothing can stand in the way of true love. After moving in together we indeed lived happily ever after!”
