I'm pretty proud of this.

Apollo smiled at the tiny bundle he held ever so proudly in his, muscular arms. He pushed  the marble doors to the pantheon aside and entered Zeus' throne room. Several gods and goddesses were scattered around the room gossiping and such. When Apollo entered the room fell silent, save for the cooing bundle in his arms. All could see that an extra glow to the gods demeanor was apparent. His supernatural blue eyes were filled to the brim with happiness as he laid his eyes on the gods before him. The first to step forward was Hermes, a tall lanky man with dark brown curls and his gray eyes stared at the bundle. Dressed in a fine tunic with gold trimming the edges, he seemed to flow as he walked.

"For what do we owe this pleasant bliss upon your face?" with this question Apollo's smile widened ear to ear and he revealed is his arms a child of such beauty that Aphrodite stuck her nose in the air at the thought that the child was lovelier than she. Then Artemis stepped forward next to Hermes and held her arms out for the child. Her fiery red hair flowing free and her warrior style clothing didn't deter the baby from grabbing hold of her. Hermes spoke again. "What is her name?" Apollo looked at the messenger god for a long moment before answering.

"Dysis." his voice rang out through out the pantheon. Apollo turned back to his sister, Artemis, who cuddled the baby in her arms. The baby's skin paled in comparison to his own bronzed skin, but other than that she looked like him, black curly hair and the same blue eyes. Such a lovely child.

"Who is her mother?" Artemis asked, bringing Apollo out of his thoughts. Apollo's eyes saddened.

"A nymph, but she refused the child." Artemis looked horrified at the news, who in their right mind ever deny such a beautiful baby girl?

"I have a request," his eyes darted around the room, "when she is old enough to learn I would like for her to be taught all that can she can learn." Ares stepped forward dressed head to toe in armor fit for a king that shone in gold and perfectly fit his body.

"I will do it." Apollo nodded in agreement. "I could teach her to use a sword." Apollo looked skeptical at first then softened to the idea.

"Of course, with the world so dangerous she may need use of it." Apollo looked around again, "Anyone else willing to teach my daughter?" Athena, Hephestus, Demeter, and Artemis looked up willingly. "Good then it is settled. Thank you my brethren for all of this." he inclined his head to them all and left to perform his duties as the sun god. Before he left he turned to Artemis. "Would you mind taking her to the Muses?" Artemis nodded in agreement.

Artemis approached the muses holding her sleeping niece. Thalia looked up with a wide grin.

"Who do we have here?" Therpsichore asked. Artemis turned the child to face them.

"Dysis is her name." Artemis said with a smile. "Apollo's daughter."
