Ah, betrayal...I know the feeling well. When you give your trust and love to see it burning on the garbage heap of someone else's offering to a sadistic self-made god. We only hurt because we care but we only trust because we believe. But we often find ourselves wondering why the hell we ever believed. Then we get angry with ourselves. It's only those who we think we know that we find out we don't. Family comes to mind.

A strong statement you have written; Lies are bad enough, but trust has to BE in a friendship, relationship, or it will not work. If you can't trust someone you love, then you ought to think twice about staying with that person. Trust hovers above us telling us that we must trust those we care about; not only lovers, but all people we have to deal with every day.
Nice!
Best, B
Perfectly describes the state of play when it comes to politics and politicians. Whatever happened to trust? Whatever happened to honour? I try my best to keep away from the media today. They are just as bad pedalling their own agenda. Hope you are OK Phill.
I am caught in a time spiral of confusion; that period we all experience between birth and death.
