Inaction Is Not An Option

Come,

Take hold my hand,

I will guide you across

This pyrite barbed labyrinth of perplexity,

And lead us onto byzantine levels of space-time happenstances.

Moreover,

As we overcome adversities,

A diurnal of newly defined consciousness

Will entwine our transference of actuality, hearts and minds

Until we reach that place of promised reverie and aspirations.

Now,

We must act quickly,

For even eternity is too short a time,

Compared to the enormity of loss, we might let slip

If you contemplate a hesitation and do not take my hand.

This write is for the deep minded ONLY... it pulls out a cynical side of me that just laughs and laughs... I know all too well where so many well-minded individuals spend their moments...their thoughts-- and how into ruts they are-- The common person simply forced to "drone" on in the land of "numb" ... This piece is unfathomable for them. So, here I am, reading it, and I am moved, taken out of the common arena that much farther, and to think that I could be missing out on eternity???? It just hits me square between the eyes. Thank you for the ponder Phil!

This piece is full of mindful insight into the awareness that people should have. I enjoyed the sense of urgency that encompasses the poem as if every moment must be utilized with cognizant actions. "for even eternity is too short a time" - I can relate. I truly loved this piece - do you mind if I copy it just for my home collection? I promise I wouldn't try and use it for anything else except my personal enjoyment?

The poem flows and the image is abstract. Within the abstract structure of the work are living words that prove no point I could see. I too find the line "For even eternity is too short a time," something less a difinition that point of reconition. There is but one eternity. I hope I never find it's end. Great write.

I loved this line - Try to say that 20 times fast!

Nicely done. You could feel the intensity of your meaning and as always you have a wonderful way with words.

Wonderful word usage just to say,, come with me or lose it all. Life can be short and full of everything..or very long and at the end one finds it filled with nothing..More the pity..God bless..Valentine

This is a new and intresting poem. I really enjoy the creativity, the use of new word choice, and the almost scientific flow, and knowledge shown.

Great work!
I really enjoyed it!

I adored the way this piece was written, it avoids the norm and pours over words that inflate the mind.

Excellently paced and very well written.
