Revitalise

Revitalise

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

A good day...

"

Revitalised

How magnificent

To sit upon a waterside bank

Held spellbound

In natures stress free milieu

A weeping willow

Tentatively touches its tresses

Delicately into

River’s frothy flowing open veins

Current cresses

Resemble sparkling stars

As sunbeams

Kiss each watery crescendo

Dancing dragonflies

Dash daintily amongst the reeds

Dizzily displaying

Dynamic luminescent colours

Caressingly stroking

Wildflower scented soft breezes

Stimulate senses

Bringing peace to a restless spirit

My essence

Is once more revitalised

Just being

In harmony with such splendour

the alliteration in this helps to stimulate the senses, and gives a smoothness that makes us sway like the branches of that willow. I love those trees; we had one in our own backyard up in Lockport...the neighbor gave us a branch from his...my dad planted it and the willow grew so big, and it toward over the neighbor's garage...and his died...right now we are all restless...and the stress is killing so many probably more than the virus is.

dear Phill... a Weeping Willow was the first Tree my first born noticed when he was about three years old. It is so peaceful and soothes our feelings of dispair. Beautifully written. truly, Pat
