Merry Christmas???????

A Gift for All

At this seasonal time of reflection

The sacred shining eastern star

Is obscured by contaminated sky

And another missed opportunity

From greedy global politicians

Lets the Earth weep once again

The penultimate point of no return

Is currently upon our generation

Thus express action must be taken

Remind leaders of the divine gift

That exemplifies all true virtue

Demanding change this Christmas

we need change in this country in so many ways...and whoever they are who end up leading us...damn
we need them to care about us, not their own agendas...this poem fits for our country, perfectly.

Whilst I can't express thoughts as you have, Phill.. how I agree with every word you've laid in your poem. The selfishness of governments, power seeker and big bucks is killing our planet. They only care about themselves, no matter what damage they do .. tis a common trait these days.
