Scar Tissue

Apathetic doubt destroys democracy

And irrigates extremist evil ideology

Yet leaders only ponder possibilities

Just agreeing they can only disagree

Each time they’ve pulled taint strings

On longbows of heinous detestation

Many a poison mortal arrow has flown

Into compassionate empathic hearts

Every flagrant fibroblast of atrocity

Layers deeper fissure scar tissues

Fears unconquered at more failures

Upon their unresponsiveness to act

Breaking and binding our injustices

Need activeness of authentic change

To embrace the challenges needed

And surmount destructive elements

Each infected lesion can be healed

Though some degree of faint cicatrix

Should remind us of life’s crossroads

And turn from paths of wicked deeds

I don't know what to say to this, except that it shows how crazy ineffective things have gotten. I know apathy is central, a point you start with, but it can sometimes seem that one must put one's head in the sand or become infected with so much rampant hate-speak among those doing most of the public speaking. It's like a bad movie we can't stand to watch anymore. I'm sorry. This stirs up some s**t & it's Easter morning here, so I'll just beg off for now! *wink! wink!* Happy Easter despite all this s**t! I totally agree, that's why the right wing is starting to get a foothold in Europe again, the fact that most of the politicians today are useless doesn't bode well, Trump and May, for f**k's sake.

so it's like that over there too, eh Phill...???

as it is here...our parties throw poison arrows at each other and most miss and hit us, the people they are supposed to help, and the infection is so bad here, the limb might have to be cut off.
