A Thorny CrownA Poem by Phill Oz O'feeAnother rant I'm afraid...A Thorny Crown Gaze upon the righteous blood Dripping from a thorny crown Coagulating clay hypocrisies’ Revealing wickedness abounds The wealthy snap up properties Investments for future yields Where homeless camp outside In cardboard container fields Swollen toddler tummies rest Silent on wooden plank beds Malnourishment their custodian Yet their entreaty is left unsaid Those investing in conflict gain From trafficking and wicked wars Toss another corpse on the fire To propagate financial rewards Some build segregation walls To perpetuate isolation distant Yet to pull down evil obstacles Would unite for common interest Misguidedly worshipping deities Unrelated to humanitarian rights Stitching scales across our eyes Causing blindness to dire plights But current and past misdeeds Are punished at the chosen time On an auspicious Judgement day Payment is taken for evil crimes Copyright @ Phillozofee 2019 © 2019 Phill Oz O'feeFeatured Review
