Elizabethan Protestation - (Experimental style)

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Despotism is a form of government in which a single entity rules with absolute power. That entity may be an individual, as in an autocracy, or it may be a group, as in an oligarchy.

"

Elizabethan Protestation - (Experimental style)

Despots do not caterwauling

f'r the downtrodden

nay lacrimations do I detecteth

f'r stone hearts

within girdl'd breasts

reject all subjugat'd s'rry

cometh the revolution

retribution shall revenge

the oppression of the meek

Author's Note

Phill Oz O'fee
Despots do not cry
For the downtrodden
No lacrimations do I detect

For stone hearts
Within girdled breasts
Reject all subjugated sorry

Come the revolution
Retribution shall avenge
The oppression of the meek

Sorry - grammar note -about archaic English - 'doth' is third person singular and cannot be used after the plural 'despots' - use 'do.' Nor can you have 'doth I.' same applies to 'rejecteth' - it is third person singular and cannot be used with 'stone hearts.' Use 'reject.''Shalt' is second person singular and cannot be used after 'retribution. 'Shall' is the correct form.

Come the revolution indeed. Meantime, business as usual in first class.

Keep on flexing. :))
